In a digitally connected world, personal and financial information moves seamlessly across devices and platforms. That connectivity also introduces exposure to ransomware, digital extortion, impersonation, and AI‑enabled fraud, which can result in unauthorized transactions, financial loss, or liability to others following a compromise. Proactive protection helps ensure this risk remains managed and does not become a personal loss reflected in growing cyber‑incident statistics.
The FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) received over 9 million individual (non-business) complaints of malicious activity in 2024 resulting in over $16 billion in losses (a 33% increase from 2023).

GS Private Client, in partnership with an A+ rated insurance carrier, has developed a personal cyber insurance program with coverage tailored to the needs of HNW families and individuals operating in an increasingly digital world.
This coverage delivers comprehensive personal cyber protection spanning financial fraud, identity theft, device replacement, ransomware, cryptocurrency risk, privacy liability, and advisor-related exposures—integrating modern cyber risks with relationship-protective policy features in a single, cohesive program.
Provides coverage for financial losses resulting from phishing, social engineering, credential theft, fraudulent wire instructions, and other cyber-enabled schemes when recovery from a bank or card issuer is unavailable. Coverage applies to theft of money, securities, or cryptocurrency, including losses involving authorized Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) acting on behalf of the insured.
Covers ransom payments and related crisis-response costs, including forensic and IT experts, following ransomware and cyber extortion events caused by malicious links, infected files, or compromised systems. Defense and settlement provisions are structured to limit insured cost-sharing when claims are reasonably contested.
Covers expenses arising from identity theft, including credit reports, continuous credit monitoring, fraud alerts, legal fees, and professional services required to restore identity and credit. Protection applies broadly across the household, including adult family members residing with the insured.
Provides coverage for financial losses resulting from unauthorized use of credit cards, debit cards, bank cards, or forged checks, including situations where cards or checkbooks are lost, stolen, or compromised. Coverage applies to amounts not recoverable from the issuing financial institution.
Pays for the cost to recreate, restore, or replace personal data lost or corrupted by a hacking event, as well as the cost to retain qualified IT professionals for malware removal and system recovery following a cyber incident.
Reimburses losses resulting from the theft of cryptocurrency caused by hacking attacks against personal computers or electronic devices, including scenarios involving authorized third-party advisors. Subject to sublimit.
Covers breach notification costs, credit monitoring for affected individuals, legal defense expenses, settlements, and judgments arising from the loss, theft, or unauthorized disclosure of private information in the insured’s care, custody, or control, including nonprofit board or volunteer activities. Modern ISO and HNW personal liability forms (Homeowners and Umbrella) incorporate electronic data and privacy exclusions that bar defense and indemnity for cyber triggered liability, including negligence based disclosure claims, absent a separate cyber insuring agreement.
Covers the cost to replace personal computers and electronic equipment rendered permanently unusable due to unauthorized or malicious reprogramming of software or firmware (“bricking”), including hacker-driven attacks that do not cause physical damage.
Each GSPC Personal Cyber Insurance Program policyholder will have access to a free suite of protection and prevention services accessible from your computer and mobile phone, including Tri-Bureau Credit Monitoring, Dark Web CyberScan Monitoring, TransUnion Alerts for financial fraud, Vantage 3.0 Credit Score Monitoring, SocialSentry Social Media Privacy and Fraud Protection, Credit Lock by TransUnion, Lost Wallet Coverage, Safe WiFi with Encrypted VPN, and other fraud protection services.
Online training, videos, and tools about safeguarding personal information as well as data privacy experts available for phone consultation.
As a policyholder, you have 24/7 access to the Tokio Marine HHC Cyber Claims Team to answer any questions and response immediate to any incident.
